WHAT IS LIFE ALL ABOUT?

At some point in time everyone has asked them selves that question. WHAT IS LIFE ALL ABOUT? The answers to that one question is the core of our very being.

Each one of us has something very much in common with one another. We were all born. Let's all put the brakes on right here. After birth, many of our lives begin to go in a wide range of directions. We know that two people can be born in the same house, country and city and their lives can be totally different. Why is that? Their social order is different. One dad makes a bunch of money and has big dreams for his family and his 10 year old son, while another dad doesn't even live with his 10 year old son. Even with these differences everyone is able to determine WHAT IS LIFE ALL ABOUT?

Let me ask that first question again. What is life all about? What do we mean by "life"? To a 10 year old boy, his life may be limited to tomorrow's baseball game. A young couple may dream of life together for the next 50 years. Someone with terminal cancer may have a life of only a few days left on earth. Some people believe that the child should not be born and have a life, thus, they kill the baby through abortion.

My prayer is that all people on earth would take a moment and ask themselves, What is life all about? or How did I get here on earth? and Why? The second question, how did I get here, is easy to answer. We were either created or we weren't. Those are the only two choices. Some believe that we were not created but evolved through billions of years of evolution, a subject which will be discussed in another article. Others have faith in creation. To coincide with the Christian faith, there is overwhelming evidence that the universe, the earth, you and I were created by a Master Creator. So, this article will take the position that we were created.

Next question! Who created us? No leader or founder of any world religion has claimed to be the creator of all things except for Jesus Christ. In the Bible, John 1:1-4 states, "In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was in the beginning with God. All things were made through Him, and without Him nothing was made that was made. In Him was life, and the life was the light of men. NKJV O.K., Why would He create the universe and us? What is His purpose? Below is a list of some reasons.
1. We are so important to Jesus that we are to live eternally for His pleasure.
2. We are to be a part of Jesus' loving family for all eternity.
3. Our destiny is to be like Jesus. Paul tells us in Eph 4:23-24
".....be renewed in the spirit of your mind, and that you put on the new man
which was created according to God, in true righteousness and holiness.. We
must be sinless, righteous and holy to be in His presence. ( How do we become
sinless, righteous and holy? It's through Christ's shed blood on the cross. See
Eph 2:8-10 below.)
4. Because we are made in God's image, we are to serve Him throughout the world by obeying His commandment to love our neighbor as our self.

What is your assignment on earth? Paul states in Eph 2:8-10 "For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, not of works, lest anyone should boast. For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them." The good works mentioned above are referred to as Spiritual Gifts. Spiritual Gifts are listed in the Bible. See 1 Cor 12:28 for a few of the Gifts."And God has appointed these in the church: first apostles, second prophets, third teachers, after that miracles, then gifts of healings, helps, administrations, varieties of tongues."

So, that's WHAT LIFE IS ALL ABOUT. It doesn't matter if we are born in the same country and/or city and our lives are totally different. Become a friend to Jesus. Follow what He says in His Word (The Bible). John 15:9-10 says , "As the Father loved Me, I also have loved you; abide in My love. If you keep My commandments, you will abide in My love"

Earth is not our home; don't get to comfortable. Life is temporary as stated in, Ps 39:4 "LORD, make me to know my end, And what is the measure of my days, That I may know how frail I am. Indeed, You have made my days as handbreadths, And my age is as nothing before You". Physical death is the doorway into the glorious presence of Jesus Christ our Creator and God.
